Provisions for written papers preparation and evaluation Part 1. The academic norms of written assignments preparation 1.1. Written assignments are all assignments prepared by students in writing as the intermediate control of knowledge (in the process of academic discipline studying) and/or final control of knowledge (upon the termination of discipline studying) according to the program of studies, and also during the state final examinations. Written assignments include home assignments, abstracts, essays, tests, examination papers, course papers and final graduation dissertations (theses). All written assignments should be carried out by students individually without assistance, except the cases when group performance is authorized by conditions of the assignment. 1.2. A student if this is agreed with the teacher/supervisor can send him/her an electronic copy of the assignment by e-mail. In this case the submission of a printed copy (with the exception of course papers and dissertation) is to be defined by the teacher. Course papers and dissertation should be presented to the dean's office in written form without exceptions. 1.3. Students should keep an electronic copy of their written assignment, at least till the moment when assignment grade would be written down on the grades register sheet, and on teacher’s or dean's office demand students should show them an electronic version of the assignment (it is possible to demonstrate assignments without appendices which were not stored in an electronic version). It is recommended to store the electronic version of the written assignment till the end of students’ study. 1.4. The Title page of written assignment should contain following requisites:

At detection of any academic norms violation mentioned above, the teacher is obliged to grade the student’s work as "unsatisfactorily" . The assignment is to be considered as not done. The variant of the assignment containing infringements, is to be stored at dean's office, before the end of official term of re-sit in the subject. 1.7.а) At detection of copying the teacher has the right to grade "unsatisfactorily" also to the student who intentionally gave the text for copying.
